SPEX HandScope® Xenon FLS The introduction of this new battery or AC powered unit finally allows small Police Departments or Crime Scene Units to buy a low cost forensic light source, while maintaining high performance with an unmatched number of filters. The unit is configured with a unique set-up with 12 Filters spread over two7-positions wheels which allow the output of 13 primary wavelengths. Clear UV Filters - Ideal as a permanent lens protector, this filter also reduces haze in outdoor photography. Orange, Red & Yellow Filters - Commonly used as a barrier filter with a Forensic Light Source. Circular Polarizing Filters - Once mounted, this filter may be roated in it's bezel to reduce glare, removing unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. It also will enable colors to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast.
