DFO DFO (1,8-Diazafluoren-9-one) is used to develop latent prints on porous surfaces. DFO reacts to the amino acids present in a latent fingerprint. The resulting prints will fluoresce with the use of a forensic light source. DFO may be applied by either dipping or spraying. After processing with DFO, the development may be accelerated with heating. The item must be dried, then may be placed in a heating chamber set to approximately 212°F for 20 minutes, or heated with a standard dry clothing iron (no steam). EVIDENT provides DFO as a powder component or 4 oz. premixed liquid. Available in HFE-7100 mixture.

	Iodine Iodine fumes adhere to the oils deposited in a latent fingerprint. Iodine Crystals are ready to use in glass ampules. The Iodine Fuming Applicators are a blow-through design which provide concentrated and directed fuming. The Iodine Fuming Kit contains a glass fuming apparatus, drying crystals, glass wool, and iodine crystals in a field case. The Iodine Print Enhancement Applicators are designed for use after iodine fuming to enhance detail. Store in a cool dark place.  USE WITH CAUTION.

	Ninhydrin Ninhydrin is still the most productive means of latent print development on porous items such as paper and unfinished wood. The traditional Methanol and Acetone based formulations are provided in addition to a Heptane based formulation to minimize the running of inks and dyes. Always wear a respirator and protective clothing. Provided as 32 oz. premix bottles.

Ninhydrin These Ninhydrin formulations are ideal for use on sensitive paper documents which include ink or thermal paper properties. The Ninhydrin Special Formula is ideal for documents such as bank checks. The Ninhydrin HFE-7100 provides the enhanced detail of the 3M Novec fluid. The Ninhydrin Thermal Paper premix contains HFE-7100/HFE71IPA and is intended for use with thermal papers such as cash register receipts, reducing the intense black over development found with traditional ninhydrin mixtures. Always wear a respirator and protective clothing.

Ninhydrin Ninhydrin aerosol cans provide an extended shelf life and easy field application of the reagent. The ethanol based formulation is provided in two different sized aerosol cans. The acetone based formulation should not be used when sensitive inks may be damaged. Always wear a respirator and protective clothing.

Ninhydrin Crystals Ninhydrin Crystals are provided in several sizes. Each premeasured vial of crystals (#3601) will provide a 0.5% working solution when added to one liter of solvent. Always wear a respirator and protective clothing.

1,2-Indanedione 1,2-Indanedione is an extremely sensitive amino acid reagent which develops latent fingerprints similar to DFO. Developed prints may be enhanced with the Zinc Chloride HFE-7100 mixture and visualized under green ALS light (~530nm) with orange or red filtration. Provided as a 4 oz. premix bottle set. Always wear a respirator and protective clothing.

Physical Developer Physical Developer is a silver-based aqueous reagent that reacts with the components of sebaceous sweat in latent prints to form a silver-gray deposit. Physical Developer is very effective for developing latent fingerprints on paper currencies. Use a glass tray for all Physical Developer processing. Provided as either a 32 oz. or 128 oz. set. Always wear a respirator and protective clothing.

Physical Developer Components Physical developer is a silver-based aqueous reagent that reacts with the components of sebaceous sweat in latent prints to form a silver-gray deposit. Physical Developer is very effective for developing latent fingerprints on paper currencies. Use a glass tray for all Physical Developer processing. Provided as separate components.

Zinc Chloride Zinc Chloride is applied to paper items after the application of Ninhydrin or Indanedione to improve fluorescence. The resulting development should be examined with a light source. Provided as a 32 oz. or 8 oz. premix bottle.

Silver Nitrate Silver Nitrate is typically used on porous materials such as paper or after Ninhydrin processing to produce a dark brown color. Silver Nitrate reacts to the chlorides present in latent prints. Silver Nitrate may be applied by either spraying or dipping. After the evidence has dried it should be exposed to intense light to accelerate the development. Any latent fingerprints that develop should be photographed immediately. EVIDENT provides either an 8 oz. premixed methanolic solution spray or a powdered form in premeasured vials.

G3 Decolorizing Solution The standard protocol for Ninhydrin and Indanedione processing of papers may result in the dark staining of the active layers of thermal papers rendering the detection of latent prints difficult. Treatment with G3 Decolorizing Solution may reverse the dark staining and reveal the covered latents. Provided as a 16 oz. premix bottle.

Wet Powder Wet Powder is a premixed liquid solution, for use in the processing of adhesive sided evidence, such as duct tape, masking tape, packing tape, paper adhesive, and fabric tape. Wet Powder may be brushed onto these adhesive sided materials to develop latent prints, using a camel hair brush to apply the solution. Provided in individual 8 oz. premix bottles, or packaged in kits.

Adhesive Side Powder Adhesive Side Powder may be mixed with a mild water based detergent solution to produce a thick processing liquid. This solution may be brushed onto the adhesive side of tapes to develop latent fingerprints. Available in black and white. Provided as 2 oz. of dry adhesive side powder.

Crystal Violet Crystal Violet, also known as Gentian Violet, is commonly used for developing latent prints on the adhesive side of virtually all types of tape. A simple solution of Crystal Violet and water will produce impressive results. Crystal Violet may be applied by either dipping or brushing the solution onto the adhesive side of tape. Allow the solution to develop for 1 or 2 minutes then rinse under cold tap water. Provided as a 32 oz. premixed bottle or as 25 grams of reagent powder.

	S.P.R. - Small Particle Reagent Develop latent prints on items subjected to the outdoor elements, such as rain and snow, even while still wet. Once dried, latents may be lifted with tape or photographed on the object itself. May be used to develop latent prints on items previously soaked with accelerants.

Sudan Black Sudan Black is one of the best methods for developing latent fingerprints on greasy or waxy non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal, milk cartons, interiors of gloves, and candles. Shake solution and pour into processing tray. Immerse evidence into solution until development is complete. The resulting print development is a dark blue/black. Photograph immediately to prevent print degradation. Provided as a 32 oz. premix bottle.

RAM Dye Stain RAM Dye Stain is a fluorescent stain mixture of Rhodamine 6G, Ardrox, and MBD. Use RAM with a forensic light source after processing with cyanoacrylate. Particularly useful in the enhancement of cyanoacrylate developed prints on plastic bags. RAM enhanced latent prints are visualized between 415nm and 530nm, making it ideal for use with a wide variety of forensic light sources. Provided as a 32 oz. premix bottle or concentrate. Mix concentrate with one liter of solvent.

Basic Yellow 40 Dye Stain Basic Yellow 40 Dye Stain is designed to enhance latent fingerprints developed with cyanoacrylate on non-fluorescent, multi-colored surfaces. Prints fluoresce bright yellow/green between 365nm and 485nm with a forensic light source or a UV light. Provided as a 32 oz. premix bottle, a concentrate, or reagent powder. Mix concentrate with one liter of solvent.

MBD Dye Stain MBD Dye Stain is used after cyanoacrylate processing on multi color surfaces. MBD is fluorescent when exposed to a forensic light source between 415nm and 535nm, making it ideal for use with a wide variety of forensic light sources. Provided as a 32 oz. premix bottle.

	Ardrox Dye Stain This fluorescent spray is designed for enhancing latent prints that have been developed with cyanoacrylate. It provides excellent ridge details when the latent print is saturated with Ardrox. Prints fluoresce yellow/green when viewed under a light source. Provided as 32 oz. premix bottles.

	Rhodamine 6G Dye Stain One of the most brilliant dye stains for latent print development on non-porous items with lasers and forensic light sources. Rhodamine 6G is for use after cyanoacrylate development. Rhodamine 6G may be applied by either dipping or spraying. Provided as 32 oz. premix liquids or powder reagents.

RAY Dye Stain This mixture of Rhodamine, Ardrox, and Basic Yellow 40 provides a wide range of fluorescence with cyanoacrylate developed prints. Visualize with a forensic light source between 365nm and 550nm, making it ideal for use with a wide variety of forensic light sources. Provided as a 32 oz. premix bottle or concentrate. Mix concentrate with one liter of solvent.

Basic Red 28 Dye Stain Basic Red 28 is a red dye for use on cyanoacrylate developed prints. After staining with Basic Red 28, a light source between 470nm and 550nm is used to visualize the prints. Provided as a 32 oz. premix bottle or concentrate. Mix concentrate with one liter of solvent.

Additional Cyanoacrylate Dye Stains The application of dye stains to cyanoacrylate processed evidence prior to exposure to an alternate light source will provide improved visualization of latent fingerprint ridge detail.

Cartridge Case Fingerprint Development Kit Latent fingerprints deposited on brass cartridge cases may be visualized with initial cyanoacrylate fuming, followed by etching with gun blue solution and acidified peroxide solution. The Cartridge Case Fingerprint Development Kit includes 8 oz. of Gun Blue Solution and 8 oz. of Acidified Peroxide. Additional 8 oz. refill solutions provided separately.

Synthetic Training Blood - Chemically Similar Synthetic Blood was developed in order to fill a need to eliminate the possibility of pathogens originating from the use of human and non-human blood in the classroom or lab. Synthetic blood was formulated to mimic the chemical reactions to common chemical tests for blood such as Luminol and Phenolphthalein, and protein enhancement techniques such as Leuco-Crystal Violet or Amido Black. Spatter Training Blood - Physically Similar Spatter Blood was developed in order to fill a need to eliminate the possibility of pathogens originating from the use of human and non-human blood in the classroom or lab. Spatter blood was formulated to mimic the physical properties of fresh human blood. Excellent for demonstrating the properties of fresh blood spatter when dripped, poured, or splashed onto any surface. Ideal for training. Provided as an 8 oz. premix bottle.

Fluorescein This chemical mixture of Fluorescein causes a catalytic reaction to occur between the hemoglobin in blood and oxygen. This reaction produces a luminescent stain which will luminesce in the dark when excited with UV or ALS. The major advantage of Fluorescein is that it will continue to luminesce for hours under UV or ALS after the initial application, and without additional applications of the reagent. This product is commonly used to detect blood spatter, blood stained fingerprints and footwear impressions, as well as, blood evidence which has been concealed or cleaned. Fluorescein also reacts with materials other than blood, therefore, caution should be exercised when interpreting luminescent areas. Provided as an 8 oz. premix set.

Amido Black Develop faint and often invisible bloody fingerprints and footwear impressions with this protein stain. Produces a dark blue stain. Destain rinse is recommended. Excellent results on most surfaces, including human skin. Provided as 32 oz. premix liquids or 25 gram powder reagent.

Leucocrystal Violet - LCV An effective protein stain used to develop and enhance fingerprints or footwear impressions which have been deposited in blood. LCV does not produce background staining, and does not require destain rinse. Excellent for use on flooring such as light color carpet or tile. Apply with a fine spray mist. Contains blood fixative. Provided as a 16 oz. premix set.

Acid Fuchsin Acid Fuchsin, also known as Hungarian Red, is an excellent stain for enhancing bloody fingerprints or footwear impressions, and has the unique characteristic of fluorescence when viewed under a light source or laser. Bloody latent prints and footwear impressions may be lifted with a white gelatin lifter, then photographed as is or viewed and photographed under your light source, excited at 515-560nm, and using a red barrier filter. Provided as either a 16 oz. or 32 oz. premix bottle.

Acid Yellow 7 Acid Yellow 7 premixed solution is an effective fluorescent stain used to enhance blood impressions on nonporous surfaces. The resulting yellow colored stain will fluoresce under a forensic light source. Provided as a 16 oz. premix bottle.

Acid Violet 17 Acid Violet 17 premixed solution is an effective fluorescent stain used to enhance blood impressions on nonporous surfaces. The resulting violet colored stain will fluoresce under a forensic light source. The destain rinse may be used to reduce background coloration. Provided as 32 oz. premix bottles.

Wash Bottles These 16 oz. LDPE wash bottles allow for the application of dye stains and other forensic chemicals. A wash bottle does not aerosolize the chemical like a spray bottle will. Provided individually or in a package of ten wash bottles.

Spray Bottles These 24 oz. LDPE spray bottles are perfect for mixing and applying a variety of liquid based forensic chemicals. Made of durable clear plastic and topped with a trigger sprayer. Clearly marked with both ounce and milliliter graduations. Works great in the lab or in the field. Provided individually or in a package of ten bottles.

Pressurized Chemical Sprayer This Pressurized Chemical Sprayer may be used to apply Luminol, Bluestar, Amido Black, LCV, Ninhydrin, DFO, and other processing chemicals. The high quality metal spray nozzle delivers an ultra fine mist which reduces the potential for excessive application or sample dilution. The sprayer is ideal for use in the laboratory or at the crime scene. The kit includes the sprayer housing, sprayer bottle, and pressurized canister. Additional 4 oz. sprayer bottles and pressurized refill canisters are provided separately. The pressurized refill canisters are non-toxic and non-flammable. Each pressurized canister will apply approximately 16 oz. of liquid chemical. A set of three replacement sprayer nozzles is also available. The 4 oz. sprayer bottles may be prefilled with chemicals prior to use in the field. Always wear a respirator.

1 oz. Flip-Top Bottles These 1 oz. LDPE flip-top plastic bottles are perfect for dispensing a variety of fluids in the lab or at the crime scene.
