| Efforts to preserve and contain valuable trace evidence on human bodies are in vain when the only body bags available are re-usable bags provided by rescue personnel and funeral homes. When a body is transported from a death scene to the morgue, the transport bag becomes an extension of the crime scene itself; therefore, a new, unused bag should be used for each victim.
